I have MacDrive 9 Standard installed on my “Windows 7 Professional” machine and have been very happy with it. I would like to reformat a Mac drive back to NTFS for windows but MacDrive prevents me from doing this. Can someone please direct me on how to accomplish this? Thank you.

You should be able to do this via Windows Disk Management. You will get a prompt asking you if you want to keep it a Mac disk, and just indicate you want to reformat and MacDrive will stop protecting the disk.

Thanks for your reply but I have tried this and I still get a message that says something like “MacDrive has prevented…” 😕

Do you have the 3 options on that dialog?

If not it seems like you are not getting a prompt needed. I would try temporarily disabling via MacDrive Settings.
