MEDIAFOUR LAUNCHES MACDRIVE 5
Award-winning software continues to improve Mac-PC compatibility
West Des Moines, IA (01-Dec-2001) — Mediafour
Corporation announced today the debut of MacDrive 5, the newest
version of
its cross-platform file sharing software. MacDrive 5 provides
an easy and seamless way for PCs and Macs to exchange documents.
It incorporates a great many enhancements, including a new set
of advanced options, without sacrificing the ease-of-use to that
makes MacDrive appealing to so many users.
One of the most significant features of MacDrive 5 is Windows
XP compatibility, as well as continued support for Microsoft
Windows Me, 98, 95, NT 4.0 and 2000. MacDrive 5 complements the
Windows XP focus on improving the user experience by offering
a more navigable "XP-style" interface and by adding
a tutorial section to the help file for easier troubleshooting.
New advanced options include a read-only mode and a taskbar notification
icon, which provides shortcuts to the most popular MacDrive features.
"MacDrive has long been quality software," said Mediafour
president Brian Landwehr. "This particular release of MacDrive,
however, has a mix of new features, improvements and a slick
new interface that all work together to make it something special.
This is what modern Windows users expect from software."
