MEDIAFOUR FORMS PARTNERSHIP WITH FRENCH DISTRIBUTOR
WSKA Int'l to distribute MacDrive 2000 in France
HANNOVER, GERMANY (24-Feb-2000) — Mediafour
Corporation, a leading developer of cross-platform file-sharing
software solutions,
announced today a partnership with WSKA Int’l, a leading
French distributor. WSKA Int'l will distribute Mediafour's
award-winning cross-platform software, MacDrive 2000 for Windows,
to various software resellers and retailers throughout France.
Discussions of a possible partnership began at Comdex Las Vegas
last November when Mediafour's international marketing
director, Daniel Wallek, met with the CEO of WSKA Int'l,
Jean-Guy Ducreux. "We were immediately excited about MacDrive,"
said Ducreux. "We are looking forward to our partnership
with Mediafour to make MacDrive known and desired by French customers."
The companies just finished signing an agreement and are currently
working together to localize MacDrive 2000 for the French market.
"France is the third largest market for our software, following
the US and Japan," said Wallek. "We estimate France
will reach sales of over 7,000 units per year." To help
kick-start sales and create awareness, Mediafour and WSKA Int'l
plan to exhibit the French version of MacDrive 2000 at Comdex
France in late March. WSKA Int'l is the third European
distributor to carry MacDrive since it was introduced to the
market in September 1999. Mediafour projects the securing of
partnerships with additional international distributors before
the end of the year.
