MEDIAFOUR INTRODUCES GERMAN VERSION OF MACDRIVE 2000
WSKA Verlag to distribute MacDrive in Germany, Switzerland and Austria
WEST DES MOINES, IA (31-May-2000) — Mediafour
Corporation, a leading developer of cross-platform file sharing
software solutions,
has formed a partnership with WSKA Verlag, a leading German distributor.
The companies have already begun localization for the German
version of MacDrive 2000, Mediafour’s award-winning disk-sharing
software. Upon its completion, WSKA Verlag will distribute MacDrive
in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
WSKA heard about Mediafour at CeBIT 2000 in Hannover, Germany
last February. At CeBIT, MacDrive 2000 captured the attention
of show visitors and potential business partners. Positive reviews
of MacDrive by the German media have created demand for the software
and validated the need for a German distributor. "Germany
is one of our most important European markets because of the
significant publishing industry, which is our largest vertical
market," said Daniel Wallek, international marketing director.
"We are also excited to offer this localized version to German
speakers
residing in Switzerland and Austria."
This partnership will further augment Mediafour's presence
in Europe and help MacDrive to become the international industry
standard for cross-platform file-transfer solutions. MacDrive
2000 is now sold through the retail channel in 15 countries and
five languages, and has been sold in over 64 different countries
via the World Wide Web.
